Hera Pheri, a cult comedy film from the 2000s, celebrated its 25th anniversary on March 31. However, the producers have stated that the scripting for the third installment of Hera Pheri will commence in 2026 with the original cast. Since the announcement of Hera Pheri 3, fans have been ecstatic to see the original three of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal return to the classic film.
Hera Pheri, a comedy-drama film, is a remake of the Malayalam-language film Ramji Rao Speaking, directed by Siddique-Lal. In an interview with ETV, the film’s director, Priyadarshan, stated, “We have changed almost 30% from the original to fit it into the Bollywood style, and it started the trend for comedy films.” He also stated that the demand to reunite for the third season of Hera Pheri became ‘too much’ to refuse, prompting him to accept the offer. In response, he stated, “I intend to begin work on Hera Pheri 3 sometime next year.” The third half will be extremely difficult to create due to the high level of anticipation.

On the occasion of his 68th birthday, renowned director Priyadarshan, who has had several box office blockbusters and is recognized for his expertise in comedy-genre films, hinted about the third installment of the 2000 film Hera Pheri on his X profile (Formerly Twitter). Hera Pheri’s Cast
The first installment in Priyadarshan’s film features Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Om Puri, Gulshan Grover, and Mukesh Khanna in leading parts. It depicts the story of two tenants and a landlord who were in severe need of money and stumbled into a ransom call through a cross link. Following this, they devised a strategy to recover the ransom money for themselves.
